WHAT IS AN OXYGEN POOL?
Oxygen is a water treatment program for residential pools that uses oxygen based products instead of chlorine to continuously oxidize contaminants in the water. The program is used with your existing pump and filter system.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
There are three levels of oxidation in an Oxygen Pool:
- Automatic injection of O3 ozone into the water for direct oxidation of contaminants. This happens automatically any time the pump is running.
- A weekly dose of hydrogen peroxide instead of chlorine.
- A weekly dose of hydrogen peroxide instead of chlorine.
- Weekly shocking of the water with a proprietary oxygen based blend. This EPA Registered blend contains no chlorine, eliminates algae and prevents cloudy water.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
Less than chlorine! Although most people are willing to pay more for a chlorine free pool, an Oxygen Pool costs less to operate than traditional chlorine pools.
With an Oxygen Starter Kit, the first year cost of an Oxygen Pool is about the same as running a chlorinated pool. After that, the cost to run an Oxygen Pool averages $100-200 less per year, depending on the size of the pool.
